DPM Sharepint Restore - The specified file is absent in the database ID 32003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey,

I am experiencing the same issue.

To brand new moss servers, to be used for testing SharePoint restores. One is a recovery farm and the other production farm. DPM has been setup correctly with commands configuresharepoint.exe etc.. Has been tested with a full farm restore, which is working fine. Only issue is we are not able to restore a file level. Able to restore Folders, but content is missing. Trying to figure out the URL is absent in the database.. not sure if anyone has a solution.

     Moss 2007, DPM 2010

Here is part of the log.

  • Summan,

Are you seeing this across all recovery points? On DPM 2010, the catalog operation happens out of band of the actual backup and it is possible that the item got reflected in the catalog but was not present during the time of backup. However in such a case the next days backup typically should have the item, Can you try out some later recovery points.
