I cannot access to network shares on windows server 2008 from windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When I try to connect to network shares I get the following error:

I can ping the windows server 2008 machine.

Here is what I tried to solve this issue:

    1. Disabling firewall on both machines.

2File and Printer Sharing and Client for Microsoft Networks is checked.

3Server service and TCP//IP NetBIOS Helper service and Computer Browser are enabled and running.

    4Network Discovery is enabled.

    5NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.

    6. Everyone group is added to "Access this computer from the network" policy.

How can I solve this issue?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hello Amirhossein Karimpour,

Thank you for posting in this forum.

No intention to offend, but still want to confirm, are you doing these operations on Windows Server 2008?

Please also enable the following services:

Network Connections; Server; Workstation; Remote Desktop Configuration.

What is the permission setting for shared files?

After you have done these operations, the error that you can't access the share is still the same on the picture, right?

    Best Regards,

    Leon
