Developing widgets for SCOM Web Console RRS feed

  • Question

  • How to use widgets for SCOM web console which are already available for SCOM desktop console? From the internet I have found that we need to use Silverlight. But as it is deprecated, is there a replacement? Which platform we need to use for the widgets to work on SCOM web console? For the desktop console, we use C# WPF.

  • The widgets work the same in the desktop console and the web console, you do not develop specifically for the web console alone. When that is said there is no replacement for silverlight yet. They would have to replace all the widget they have today with something that does not use silverlight, and that is a big job.

In SCOM 2016 they converted some of the web console away from silverlight, though all the widgets still rely on silverlight.
