Import csv error when select 1st row as header RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting the error "an error occurred while loading the file" only after I select the "Use first row as column headers" option. Any ideas? I've tried changing the file type to excel, changing the location of the file, reruning the SAS program that generated the file, and restarting my computer. Please help me...

  • Hi paleta2003,

    Thanks for your question.

Please follow below steps to import CSV(note:I only test it in EXCEL 2016).
    1) go to "Data--New Query--From File--From CSV"

    2) find the CSV file, click on Import, select "Edit"

    3) In the Query Editor window, select "Use First Row as Headers", then click on "Close & Load".

  • Does your header row have any special characters or other language characters? May be you can try opening it in Notepad++ to see if it contains any invisible characters if you cant find it visibly
