  • in the deployment guide, it says:

"If you are having trouble getting the Auto Discover service to work you can manually configure the Exchange connector to connect

a   Specific Exchange Web Service URL by creating the following registry key (String type):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\System Center Service Manager Exchange Connector\ExchangeURL

Set the value to the Exchange web service URL – for example:

                               https://smdc.fabrikam.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx "

the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\System Center Service Manager Exchange Connector is not in the registry

  • You can create the registry key manually -> ("by creating the following registry key (String type):").

  • Exception Message: The user ATC\ITDhelpdesk does not have sufficient permission to perform the operation.

The user ATC\ITDhelpdesk is member of the SCSM Administrator role?

  • Hi

As Andreas says, the workflow account has to be a member in the Administrator User Role in SCSM.
If you check the deployment guide that follows with the Exchange connector you can read this:

    ·         For this release only the workflow account’s email inbox can be used.  Further – the mailbox of the workflow account itself is the only mailbox which can be monitored.

If you need to change your workflow account you can do so in the Administration/Security/Run As Accounts view in the SCSM main console.  The workflow account must also be in the Administrators user role in SCSM

  • I got that error to go away now I have a new error.

Autodiscover blocked a potentially insecure redirection to https://webmail.sbcounty.gov/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml. To allow Autodiscover to follow the redirection, use the AutodiscoverUrl(string, AutodiscoverRedirectionUrlValidationCallback) overload.

    How do I fix this?
