Possible ways to prevent email spoofing at MIME level

    Question

  • Need your help. Recently we are getting so many SPAM emails to sent from our own email address. We have GFI Mailessentials deployed an Edge Transport server. But GFI does block spoofing at the SMTP level and doesn't block spoofing at the MIME level. Could you recommend the possible ways to prevent email spoofing at the MIME level? Thanks in Advance !!!

  • You might consider buying a message hygiene service that better meets your needs.

  • Hi,

What about setting up Sender Policy Framework (SPF)?

An SPF TXT record is a DNS record that helps prevent spoofing and phishing by verifying the domain name from which email messages are sent. SPF validates the origin of email messages by verifying the IP address of the sender against the alleged owner of the sending domain.
