Trouble connecting iPod - already tried the 5 R's still cannot detect it RRS feed

  • My VISTA machine will not detect my iPod.  I have re-booted the iPod several times and have reinstalled iTunes and installed all VISTA service pacs.  When I go to the device manager I do not see the device.  In addition to the normal re-boot I have also tried putting the iPod in disk mode, nothing works.

     

    Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Your best resource for support for this problem will be the IPod support website. They will be more aware of any issues with that device.
