Does Removing a users Exchange Account also remove the users Archive Database

When removing a users mailbox from an Exchange 2010 SP1 server, if that user also has an archive mailbox
does it automatically remove the archive mailbox for the user?

Just wondering if you need to disable the archive mailbox first, then remove the exchange mailbox or by removing
the one it removes both.

"You can also permanently delete a disconnected mailbox at any time by using the Remove-Mailbox cmdlet with the Archive switch in the Shell. To do this, you need to set the Permanent parameter to $true when you run the command"
