APP-V5 Client Logging Events Registry Key?

Question
-
Hi,
We would like to change the APPV5 Client logging event levels - Microsoft-AppV-Client/Operational, we don’t want to log every Streaming Event for example as we have 100,000 + Events on just one application alone.
We use to change this using this key for 4.x - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc817165.aspx
- By default, the type of messages that are written to the log include all events of severity level 4 (Informational) or higher. The severity level is stored in the following key value. Set this key value to 5 to enable verbose logging. Use verbose logging only for short periods during troubleshooting because it will generate a very large volume of messages and cause the log to fill up quickly.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SoftGrid\4.5\Client\Configuration\LogMinSeverity
Thanks
Mike

Someone else may confirm but I have not noticed any obvious option for setting that in App-V 5.0. It doesn't appear to be in the ADMX or listed on technet as an option. Perhaps you could make a feature request?

App-V is ETW-based so the logging is different from 4.x. The verbosity should be pretty reasonable by default. Have you enabled all of the debug logs?

I suppose yoou don't want to *increase* the log level (as the debug logs would be helpful) but *reduce* the amount of messages.
I agree to Rorymon that there is no obvious switch to control this.
What you could do is to raise this as a Feature Request for App-V 5 SP2 Beta on Connect... and if you add that App-V is 'flooding' your log and that critical events might be overwritten/purged becauise of LogFile size or age limit, there is even a chance that we can get control about what events to log

Hello,
Any reason you can not disable the log entirely?
