The hash for this migrated package is different than the one in the Configuration Manager 2007 site RRS feed

  • Question

  • When migrating the O/S image from CM07 to CM12, distmgr.log shows:

The hash for this migrated package is different than the one in the Configuration Manager 2007 site. Please update the package on the Configuration Manager 2007 site and then migrate the package again.

I've refreshed and updated the package several times on CM07 and then re-migrated to CM12 (successfully).

The error is always coming back and OSD T/S fails.

The image works fine if deployed from CM07.

    Any ideas?

  • When you re-migrate the package, are you first performing a gather task and giving them 5-10 minutes to settle?  also, are you choosing to migrate and overwrite newer objects in 2012 or are you performing a changed objects only migration?

  • Ι'm gathering the data first.

I then create a new migration job, selecting "only changed objects" as type.

Then the wizard runs and finds that the OSD image source was changed.

    I select it and proceed.

    distmgr.log shows the above error.

  • you should really consider capture a new image with ConfigMgr 2012.
