Error : "The adapter configured as external-facing is connected to domain" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am doing a Lab Installation for UAG Direct Access with the help of Test Lab Guide. We have a special cap for UAG with 7 machines in this cap. Please see below the picture.

In the picture 198.19 are the Management IP(external ip) and 1.20 are Internal IP.

    Domain is fep2010.red.lab

Base configuration is done and working fine.

The issue is I have configured all the machines step by step in the lab, after configuring direct access when I activated the configuration I am getting "The adapter configured as external-facing is connected to domain", error. I have gone through the following links.

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/675.workaround-for-the-directaccess-the-adapter-configured-as-external-facing-is-connected-to-a-domain-problem.aspx

I have deleted NLA and also Created a firewall policy. But the issue is not resolved.

I have some doubts now: The machines are in same cap with same subnet and is this the reason the issue is not resolved

1 more doubt is how NLAsvc will be started after frsvc. Is there any workaround to resolve the issue.

    Please Help,

    Thanks.
