  • Hi Ashish,

Passthrough authentication was taken out of UAG and no longer supported by Microsoft.  All users must go through the UAG Login Page.

However, if you tinker with ADFS, and Federate to yourself, you could pull off passthrough authentication. (I know it can be done)

    Thank you.

  • Hello Dennis

    Thanks for the reply.

    1) Is there any documentation from Microsoft which says that pass through authentication has been taken out of UAG.

    2) What if i want to do a pass through authentication for one citrix after i log on to the UAG portal. Is that supported or not?

Do you mean the old IAG feature called Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), or do you mean bypassing UAG trunk authentication in favour of authenticating directly with the backed server?

If you mean IWA, you can read about the lack of support in UAG here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee861145.aspx

If you mean bypassing UAG trunk auth, can you be more specific about your requirements?

    Cheers

  • Hello,

After you log into the UAG portal is a different story.  UAG provides seamless Single Sign-On for Citrix, most forms based and basic authentication based websites.

    Thanks

Dennis I notice you say "However, if you tinker with ADFS, and Federate to yourself, you could pull off passthrough authentication. (I know it can be done)".  Do you happen to know where there is some info on this. I started a thread that deals exactly with this issue.  I am trying to have it where Office 365 Authenticates, will bypass UAG Auth and hit the AD FS 2.0 Server.  I am having issues getting that to work.  Here is my Thread:  http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/forefrontedgeiag/thread/303f57d6-025b-4f1b-bccc-b17d1da78e3c

    Thank you,
