Upgrade process -- MRO 3.3.0 to 3.3.1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I did not find any docs regarding the upgrade process of MRO.

    for example:

    3.3.0 --> 3.3.x

    3.3.0 --> 3.x

    3.3.x --> x.x    where x is always a higher version number.

    I'm using the tar.gz install and would like to upgrade from 3.3.0 to 3.3.1.  I've installed additional R module in a seperate location.  Is it possible to install the newer version and just add the path to prior modules installed locally?  Alternatively, would there be script to gather the packages installed in the alternate location and proceed to apply them for the new version of MRO installed.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

  • Their really aren't separate upgrade instrutions for MRO. The process involves uninstalling the previous version of MRO from your system following the uninstall instructions at our MRAN website, then installing the new version.

    You will first need to remove the MKL components from your system, then MRO itself.

    You can find the uninstall steps here:

    https://mran.microsoft.com/documents/rro/installation/#revorinst-uninstall

    The steps can vary, depending on which platform you are running.

    Hope this helps.
