SCOM 2008 DNS MP to 2012? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Technet,

Hello, thanks again. More specifically, I just need the bit "Resolution Time" which was removed from the 2012 DNS MP. Now I need it. I got as far as installing Visual Studio 2012, vscodes, System Center Authoring Extensions and finally, I'm able to extract the XML from the sealed 2008 MP. After that, I'm lost. Can someone assist me in converting this 2008 MP to work with 2012R2 Servers?

    Thanks again

  • Hi Sir,

    I found this article:

    https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/momteam/2013/05/15/local-resolution-time-monitor-in-the-opsmgr-dns-management-pack-may-show-unexpected-results/

It mentioned the script "Nslookupalltest.js" , I'd suggest you to convert it to VB script or powershell script then create a rule to collect the response time :

To get further assistance related to script , I'd suggest you post it into official scripting guys forum:

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/home?forum=ITCG&filter=alltypes&sort=lastpostdesc

Hope it is helpful to you .

    Best Regards,

    Elton
