Suppressing the "One or more files may be harmful to your computer" warning RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, we're running SharePoint 2007 and were just wondering what the best way would be to suppress the "One or more files may be harmful to your computer" message that we see in Explorer view when attempting to copy a large number of files. Most of the fixes that I've read about involve adding our SharePoint hostname/IP to the local intranet zone, but that does not work. We have the entire FQDN (https://site.domain.com) in the trusted sites zone so that users are not constantly prompted for login credentials, but I noticed that when I add the same information to the local intranet zone, it removes it from the trusted sites zone while also not solving the problem. If I just add the NetBIOS name of the site or the IP address, it still doesn't make a difference and the message continues to appear.

Is there another way around this or do we just have to ignore the message?
