Connect Exchange 2007 mailbox to new AD user RRS feed

  • Question

  • We had a situation where we had to give a user a new Active Directory account. How can I attach the mailbox from his old AD account to the new AD account? This is for Exchange 2007.

    Thanks

  • it is not clear to me.

are you trying to give this new user to have access on his existing mailbox rather than setup a new one?

  • Hi Guitar,

You can DISABLE the mailbox for the old account, after that, connect the disconnected mailbox to the new AD account.

  • hello!

    Something went wrong.
I assigned an old user's mailbox to a new user. I did it many times.

    Old user is Donad Duck
    New user is Goofy

When an internal user sends an email to Goofy gets an error: recipient not found.
NDR shows that CN is Donald Duck instead of Goofy. How can I solve that?

    Exchange server is 2007SP3.
    OAB allready updated.
    Please help me.

External email coming from a pop3 connector are working fine.

    Best Regards,

    Fabio
