Turning off Windows Explorer History? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way I can keep Windows Explorer (not IE) from showing a history of folders I've accessed on my PC? The ones that appear when you click the down arrow on the Windows Explorer taskbar. Even just being able to remove individual filepaths would be enough.

I've seen a method using regedit where going to the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths but for me (Vista x64) TypedPaths does not exist.

Is there another way to do this? Perhaps a different Registry Entry now?
