  • We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.
We prefer at least 2 DMP files to spot trends and confirm the cause.

Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here
If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

  • Ok I have a picture of a 1 year old mother board from a laptop I was working on. this picture is going to show you corrosion from a dielectric paste Toshiba uses. I sent Toshiba with information about this and a new mother board was sent. I also sent the MB

My customer was having the exact same issue. I would  hope Toshiba fixed this by now but they were quite arrogant about it.

I would put the picture here but its to big. The green parts are the corrosion, some of the paste cause some of the diodes and resister to fall off.

Edit one more time. The fiber heat protectors I removed and left one on so you can see what is under that fiber shield.

it started with file errors and progressed to system shutdown, eventually kput.

  • DXGMMS!.SYS is the cause of this error Directx graphic driver. usually USB controllers are the blame

Try to update your motherboards chipsets drivers. Goto intels site to get the drivers

Chrome.exe is involved here so I do not know if you were using chrome but it is worth searching to see if it causes dxgmms1 to crash

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

These are the two drivers that crashed

If you goto system Information>Software environment>Windows Error Reporting the actual app that crashed will be there

  • I'm reading about the chrome.exe and all reference lead to uninstall and reinstall but I did find something interesting that works for one person. Very last post byRobynD. B.

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system/blue-screen-problem-uninstallederror-checksystem/13b50a3c-2113-4767-a8ee-6e698169d92c?page=2

So I think I understand what has happened. The address push cxr fffd00035 was used by chrome to get a function for graphics, this could be flash, or something like that. If update drivers do not work disable some addons in IE or Chrome.

Or update chrome there is an new update for chrome if you have not done so already

  • Chrome.exe you can read here, I have seen plenty of people getting this error. It is time for google to be notified about this issue. You are the 3rd person in one week I've seen this error.
