Troubles with DPM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

We have some troubles with the MP for DPM.
After the reinstallation of the SCOM agent and clearing the health cache we keep getting the following error from the Health Service Modules (Eventid 11903)

The Microsoft Operations Manager Expression Filter Module could not convert the received value to the requested type.

    Property Expression: Params/Param[15]

    Property Value: 7193,5743894

    Conversion Type: DataItemElementTypeDouble(3)

    Original Error: 0x80FF005A

One or more workflows were affected by this.

    Workflow name: Microsoft.Windows.SystemCenterDPM2010.RecoveryPointCreationFailedWithThreshold
    Instance name: Advantive Mailbox Database
    Instance ID: {84676755-C33C-0627-BBC7-4E409036CCBC}
    Management group: AdvantiveServices

The DPM server does show up in SCOM but not messages are arriving.

    Kind regards,

    Hans Oele

  • it seems SCOM does not recognize comma (",") as decimal delimiter.

what is your default language on new server?

  • Hi Pavel,

The default language is English. No language packs are installed.

  • oh, this is not decimal separator, this pure comma between two numbers.

    Dose look like MP bug.

  • The error is correct on two counts.  if that is a number, it it too large to fit in a double.  If it is a number it also should not have a comma in it.

Pavel is correct, this is likely a comma separator.  YOu cannot go by the default language of the RMS.  The agent will cause this data.  What is the language profile of the agent?

  • Morning Dan,

Both the RMS as the agent are in English.

    Kind regards,

    Hans
