  • In the Application Virtualization 4.5 Management Server MMC, the Named License Creation Wizard may fail if you add then remove a user

     

    Symptoms

    =============================

    In the Application Virtualization 4.5 Management Server MMC, if you add and then remove a user during the Named License Creation Wizard, the wizard will fail with the following error:

     

    Application Virtualization Management Console

    Unexpected error occurred.

    Unable to create the new Application License. Please report the following error code to your system administrator.

    Error code: 0000B022

     

    Resolution

    =============================

    1. Cancel the Named License Creation Wizard.

    2. Delete the Named License entry you previously attempted to create from the Application Licenses node of the Application Virtualization 4.5 Management Server MMC.

    3. Right-click on Application Licenses in the Application Virtualization 4.5 Management Server MMC to create the new Named License.

    4. Add a user to the license on the Named License User screen of the Named License Creation Wizard.

    Make any adjustments to the users associated with this license once the wizard has completed.

     

    Repro Steps

    =============================

    1. Right-click on Application Licenses in the Application Virtualization 4.5 Management Server MMC to create the new Named License.

    2. Add a user to the license on the Named License User screen of the Named License Creation Wizard.

    3. Remove that user from the license before continuing with the wizard.

    4. Click Finish to complete the wizard.
