forefront update - strange behaviour RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ok, I really can't understand how forefront updates work and I can't understand where the problem is.

I have a Forefront Client Security on a windows server 2003 sp2. Updates are automatically downloaded and installed with WSUS 3.0 SP2. At the moment if I open forefront client on a computer I read:

Well, according on the link (http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/HowToForefront.aspx) it is the last update at the moment I'm writing. So why 12/10/2011? WSUS downloaded it today (13/10/2011) at 9,08 and both the WSUS and the Forefront servers have the correct time.

Why this date for updates instead of 13.10.11?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

12-10-2011 is the creation date of définition files. It's normal and it is similar for all AV solutions. Each AV client shows the creation date and not the download date because that information is included in the definition file. Don't worry.
