Disable Lockscreen in Windows 10 Anniversal Update 1607 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have been trying to disable Lockscreen on 1607 in Enterprise, because we use some machines to display utility or web cast on a large screens for audience.

My collegue did investigation, tried tweak the registry but still it seems this is mission impossible. Did MS did this on purpose?

Also I saw this, take a look at the last post: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/bb42adde-66e1-46b5-beae-e0a07dc70e97/it-is-possible-to-disable-w10-lockscreen-with-gpo-in-domain?forum=winserverGP

  • Hi ,

    >>We have been trying to disable Lockscreen on 1607 in Enterprise
Are you trying to setup do not display the lock screen or disable the Lock Workstation Functionality (Window+L) in Windows?
You are running Windows 10 version 1607 Enterprise, right?
If you are trying to setup "Do not display the lock screen", in Windows 10, version 1607, "Do not display the lock screen" Group Policy setting is not available in Pro edition, but it is still apply to Windows 10 Enterprise. Check the following link for detailed information. I have tested on my Windows 10 version 1607 Enterprise machine, it works perfectly as expected.
Group Policy settings that apply only to Windows 10 Enterprise and Education Editions

If you are trying to disable the Lock Workstation Functionality (Window+L) in Windows, kindly refer to the following link for assistance.
