Short cut to block a sender RRS feed

  • Question

  • The user wants to press to stand on an email and press a keystroke to block that sender and move that item to the junk folder.

The quick steps allow moving to a junk folder but it does not block the sender.

Is there a way for items arriving in the junk folder to be automatically blocked?

  • Hello Garrydene,

This forum(Outlook for Developers) is for development issues related to Outlook Object Model and your problem is more related to Outlook product feature, so I would move this thread into Outlook IT Pro Discussions.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Garrydene,

There is no build-in keyboard shortcut keys to block a sender in Outlook. As as workaround, you can add the ‘Block Sender’ button to the Quick Access Toolbar, and then click the button from the QAT or press the corresponding shortcut key (Alt + number) to quickly block a sender.

In this example, the keyboard shortcut is Alt + 3:

    Hope this helps.
