How to transfer sharepoint site from one server to another

  Hi,

  you can take a back up of your site and restore on another server. Or you can also use Import / Export using stsadm if you have to transfer specific site collection.

  open command prompt-->type cd C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\BIN------>then use command as mentioned in link.
