easy transfer using cd's RRS feed

  • Question

I have made the disks which contain the data to transfer, the only problem is that easy tranfer loads these files on to a small hard drive which does not have the room. the drive I took the dat from is D: and the small drive on the new computer is also D:, but is only 10GB. is there a way I can transfer the data to E: or redirect the data so it loads up correctly.

The file that has been created on my new Drive when I tried to transfer was a NCDTREE, I now also get messages reminding me that this drive is full.

the computer I have is a HP pavilionthe other drives have 500GB each

Can any one point me in the right direction

    Many thanks

  • Hi Richard,

Change the small drive letter on your computer from D to S. Then run Windows Easy Transfer again. You will be prompted to choose a partition to restore the data. You can choose drive E this time. After transferring the data, you can change the drive letter back from S to D.

    Hope it helps.
