Resource Usage Rollup view RRS feed

  • Question

  • For each resource in the Resource Usage view, there is an expandable section for Other Projects and Commitments, complete with a rolled-up subtotal for those projects. Within the same type of view, I'd like to display the current project tasks in a similar fashion. Out of the box, what we see is one detail row per task, but no subtotal for the current project and no way to collapse those tasks.

What we're trying to do is illustrate the amount of work the resource already has going on (Other Projects) alongside the amount of new work we're proposing to add with the current project.

Is there a straightforward way to accomplish what I'm after?

  • Hi,

Unfortunately you cannot do that (collapse task of the current project in the resource usage view). That being said, the row at the resource level gives you the overall amount of work.

You could use a resource report directly from Project if you are using Project 2013+ or create a custom report (SSRS, Excel Service...).

    Hope this helps,
