Roaming profile for administrator RRS feed

    Hello Admins,

    I am setting up a small testing environment using Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition, i have a question....Is that possible to set up roaming profile for a Administrator or not recommended.

    Let me know if any information required.

    Hello,

    it is possible as for each other user also. But i recommend against this, the administrator should be disabled after creating additional admin accounts with the same permissions. Then the administrator should become a long strong password and this should be stored on safe location for emergency only.

    Also other administrative should not have a profile, an admin account should be separate located in the AD structure and not apply the same settings as the domain users to be able to work free.

    All admins should work with a user account, like each other domain user, and use the admin account only when doing admin tasks with RUNAS option or if you need to logon to the servers direct..
