MAPS 7.0 Local DB name RRS feed

  • Question

  • MAPS works fine.  Just wondering if anyone had a suggestion for this problem.  I am trying to connect HP Unified Sizer to the MAPS DB and I trieds using MAPS as the LocalDB name but it fails on connection.  How can I determine what the LocalDB name is on the system?

    Thanks

  • On my system the Map Toolkit's localdb name is: (localdb)\maptoolkit

For example in SQL Server Management Studio I can connect to it using that name and browse the databases just like regular SQL. But that's with doing everything on the local computer. I don't think you'd be able to connect to the MAP Localdb from a remote system.

  • OK Thanks  I did get it to connect with (Localdb)\maptoolkit through SSMS but I still cannot connect to it with The HP Software.
