DPM Jobs failing after manual express full RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was doing some testing on my DPM Server 2010 and manually created a Express Full Recovery point.

Now after this most jobs in DPM which were dong incremental sync began to fail with the following error message

    Type:    Recovery point
    Status:    Failed
Description:    The incremental backup job was cancelled because the associated full backup for the data source is not available or there is a newer version of the backup on which this job depends.

This is a non-fatal error. Another backup has been created at approximately the same time as this backup. Use the other backup for recovery. (ID 30127)
        More information
    End time:    1/6/2011 10:24:32 AM
    Start time:    1/6/2011 10:17:52 AM
    Time elapsed:    00:06:40

Now I know it says its non fatal error but I want to know what can I do to prevent such type of failures if a express full had to be created manually.

  • Hi

Try to modify the protectiongroup that the protected member is a member of, just rightclick it and cklick next until your finnished. Try now to make a new manually "Express Full" This will update the journal and perhaps solve the problem.
