  • Dear all

I have never setup a windows proxy (only third party) I know ISA 2004/2006 were both popular proxy servers, have MS replaced these with Forefront UAG?

  • The actual replacement for ISA is the FTMG or Forefront Threat Management Gateway. The UAG is more aligned to a new remote-access solution and is geared towards the publishing of internal services.

In simple terms, FTMG deals with secure access for internal users to the outside but can still publish services.

UAG is for secure access from the outside to internal services.
