Slow to Boot up. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit on an Intel PC with 8gb of RAM 1tb of disk.

The PC takes an inordinate amount of time to boot and even when done it is very slow and unresponsive for 10 minutes after, with a mass of Hard Drive Activity.

On checking the Application log, I get many instances of the 2 following events, which I believe is associated the Windows Search service.

Can anyone throw some light on what is happening?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I would like to verify when did this issue occur, please check whether you have installed some programs or changed settings. You can perform a system restore to test the issue.

According to the event log, it didn’t showed errors about the ESENT, I suggest you boot into Clean Boot to see the boot time.
