    I have clients that connect via a VPN to our W2K8 AD Domain.  The local addresses are 10.1.1.n, the vpn clients are 192.168.1.n and the client machines are not members of the domain.

    Can I add DNS entries that allow name resolution to happen.  I have added entries to LMHOSTS and HOSTS which are working fine, but would like to simplify the config.

    When I add any type of record, it prefixes it with domainname.local, which causes the lookup to fail.  WHAT am I missing here.
