word 2003 problem RRS feed

  • I had word 2003 running on vista.
    Recently I uninstalled the office2003 and reinstalled office 2003.
    After this there are problems with word.
    The saved documents does not get displayed with word icon in explorer.
    The saved word documents does not get opened by default in word.
    Even when I try to open the document with "right click and Open With option and then selecting winword.exe" it does not get opened.
    I have to open a blank word file and then open the saved documents from it.
    This problem deos not come up with excel.
    Any solution for the problem?

    Also, for your information, you can go to Default Programs\Set Associations and manually set association to word file and see the result.
