New-CsExUmContact Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All

    I get this annoying error when running New-CsExUmContact .

    New-CsExUmContact : Filter failed to return unique result, "[SipAddress : sip:voice.mail@.......com] "
    At line:1 char:1
    + New-CsExUmContact -DisplayNumber +4.......... -SipAddress sip:voice.mail ...
    + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [New-CsExUmContact], InvalidOperationException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : System.InvalidOperationException,Microsoft.Rtc.Management.AD.Cmdlets.NewOcsUmContactCmdl
       et

    I  tried below commandlets and they all came up empty.

    Get-CsUser | where {$_.LineURI -eq "tel:+4....................." -or $_.PrivateLine -eq "tel:+4....................."}
    Get-CsCommonAreaPhone | where {$_.LineURI -eq "tel:+4...................."}
    Get-CsRgsWorkflow | where {$_.LineURI -eq "tel:+4....................."}
    get-CsExUmContact | where {$_.LineURI -eq "tel:+4....................."}

    Get-CsDialInConferencingAccessNumber | where {$_.LineURI -eq "tel:+4................." }

    I know it is related to the phone number, because New-CsExUmContact with another number worked. But how can I find out where the first number remained and release it?

    Thank you

  • Sine you have tested for the others as well.

    You can check with this script: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Lync-numbers-in-use-6c890b9a

    Or this to list unused numbers: https://msunified.net/lyncdownloads/script-list-unusednumbers-ps1/

    If it doesn't show up on any of them, the error is somewhere else.

    Can you provide full command you used?

  • You can run Get-csexumcontact | select displaynumber,sipaddress,identity
    Then you can set-csexumcontact displaynumber $null

  • Then its not assigned to csexumcontact but a user:

    Get-CsUser -Filter {LineUri -like "tel:+666666"}

  • Maybe this script will help you out:

    https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Find-conflicting-number-in-93173dcf

    Maybe that specific number is not within your range?
