MS Project Statndard on SharePoint RRS feed

  • Question

  • My company uses MS Project Standard. :( We also use SharePoint as our records management repository. I've recently started working with a large project that ideally is best managed with several small sub-projects. I would like to use a master project that includes the several smaller sub-projects. I'm not looking to use any SharePoint functionality other than the RM functionality (e.g. not using project file syncing). Can MSP Standard include sub-projects in SharePoint directories?

Bad news, my friend.  No, you cannot create a master project with Microsoft Project files that are saved in a SharePoint site.  If you absolutely need to create a master project, I would recommend that you move all of your existing projects to a network folder and then create your master project from there.  Hope this helps.
