  • Question

  • Is it possible to perform a clean install of MIM 2016 SP1 on Windows Server 2016 that can be updated to the latest hotfix?

I noticed a post by Wim Beck on Nov 28, 2017 suggesting the above was not possible:
"If I understand correctly only two "full releases" exist: build 4.3.1935.0 (MIM 2016 RTM) and build 4.4.1237.0: (MIM 2016 SP1). The former cannot be installed on Server 2016 and the latter cannot be updated because of a bug. This bug is only fixed in a hotfix that can be applied to a MIM 2016 setup, build 4.3.1935.0 until build 4.3.2266.0.As I see it, it is only possible to achieve an up to date setup by installing MIM 2016 RTM on a Server 2012 R2, applying the latest hotfixes to get to MIM 2016 SP1, then upgrading the server to Server 2016. Is there another way?"

    Many thanks,
