Automatic creation of replica disabled RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I create new protection group in DPM console, I can't select option:

    Automatically over the network

    Option is disabled.

    Where is the problem?

    Thanks for help in advance!

  • Hi!

By design you must create your replica manually if you choose to use custom volumes.

After you have created your protection groups your protection groups members will be marked with the saying that a manually replcia will be created. If you right click your protected members of that protection group and choose to preform a consistencey check you pre-installed DPM angent on the server or client you want to protect will create the replica over the LAN (or WAN) for you.

  • Hi,

maybe there is not enough space, either on the DPM store, or on the Source.

    Maybe you check this.

  • I don't know why?

I selected backup on custom volume (350GB for replica, 150GB for recovery point).

Data source is small (about 10GB).
