Status of Action Functions RRS feed

  • Question

  • The Action type (and associated functions) appeared to be an interesting new addition to the M language. It reminded me of Haskell's IO monad type. However, the action type appears to have never been implemented, although the action functions still appear in the M extensions function autocomplete list (in Visual Studio). I've never seen an example of the use of an action function, and the online documentation that listed the functions (without any substantive description) has been removed.

Are the action function deprecated (before they've seen the light of day), or are they still under development?
