UAG Client Components corruption? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a Windows Vista x86 user whose client components seem to keep corrupting causing the session not to see the client components installed. Since the components aren't installed he cannot upload or download attachments. The only fix I’ve found is to go to add/remove programs and uninstall the Microsoft UAG components and have them reinstall again. The next day the same thing happens. I don't see any programs like Spysweeper on his machine that would prevent proper installation of the components. Any ideas?

    Note: Vista x86 w/ IE 8

  • There are a lot of things that could cause the client components to become corrupted, from spyware to HD errors. I would suggest trying to narrow it down a bit, or get a solid repro. For example, perhaps a reboot would trigger it, or a certain time-of-day. Once you know which, you have an investigation path to start with.
