Unable to deploy Sharepoint web part with Visual Studio 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I try to deploy a web part on an onsite sharepoint site but I get the following error:

Error 6 Error occurred in deployment step 'Recycle IIS Application Pool': Cannot connect to the SharePoint site: http://win-v5vn3102up6/37456/. Make sure that this is a valid URL and the SharePoint site is running on the local computer. If you moved this project to a new computer or if the URL of the SharePoint site has changed since you created the project, update the Site URL property of the project.
    0 0 VisualWebPartProject7

Though, I specified that url (http://win-v5vn3102up6/37456) as url for deployment as farm solution and I can access that site provided I type in my credentials. The error occurs as I build the solution under my account credentials as well as I do it under admin account (which is quite the same as I am under Win2008Server and I log in Win with MyAccount and I access the site with MyAccount)

Any clue would be much appreciated

NB. I already elevated privileges for trust in web.config file to WSS_Medium

I believe you have erroneously posted your question in a public user forum dedicated to questions about Microsoft Project, a project management tool.  I would recommend that you repost your question in a public user forum dedicated to either SharePoint or to Visual Studio.  Hope this helps.
