IE8 webpages and apps dont work in IE11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • So, as I said in the title, I have some apps that are a bit on the older side, and will not get upgraded and they work only in IE8 (No other browsers nothing). That was fine for Windows 7, but now when we all have Windows 10 that is a problem, since changing Compatibility View to IE8 doesnt help, and those pages that should give me info just dont work.

Please give me any ideas how to solve this, since this is slapping me every time I open IE11.

  • Hi,

you need your programmers to debug the websites. f12>Emulation tab, will tell them which IE Emulation mode is being used and how it was applied.

the about:compat page (type about:compat) will list the enabled compatibility lists and their settings.

They should also check that the latest version of Enterprise mode site lists manager  is being used for the Win10 machines.

    version: 5

Make sure that the legacy websites map to the Internet zone. (File>Properties menu)
