Microsoft Edge - Hover Link RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Microsoft Edge, then you hover on a link in a webpage, the link is displayed in the lower left hand corner of the page. in some instances this display covers up the link itself and will not allow you to click the link.

How do I turn this off, so that the links are not displayed?

Thanks in advance for your time.

  • The display of the hovered hyperlink in the lower left of the browser obscures buttons on the web page. As the hyperlink can't be switched off by the user, can it be moved to another location? If so, how is this done?

  • Hi,

No... it can't be moved or turned off by a browser setting. If the user has turned on their status bar in IE, then the hyperlink href will appear in the rhs or lhs of the status bar instead of a tooltip. Its an issue of layout design by web site developers.
