  • Hi,

you should update to IE11... now! (ideally you should be on server 2012 also!)

    see https://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/search?sort=PN&alpha=internet+explorer

server versions of windows run IE in an enhanced security zone mode..... you should not use a web browser on a server version of windows for web site testing or casual web surfing... not many (if any at all) visitors to your public web sites will be using a server version of windows.

Use a client instead (running home, pro or enterprise versions of windows). For testing purposes you can use the Emulation tab of the IE developer tools (f12>Emulation tab) to switch the emulation mode of IE11 for backwards compatibility testing (but you should code to modern standards and provide graceful fall-back with frameworks and/or polyfills)

    or

visit http://modern.ie to download and install a Virtual Machine Image or sign-up to browserstack (links at modern.ie) for online emulation services of a number of different platforms and web browsers.

    Regards.
