Exchange 2007 Public Folder Permissions issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I create a public folder and assign a user the Publishing Editor role which allows for sub-folder creation.  The user cannot create a subfolder.  I have verified with the PFDAVAdmin tool that the permissions are set correctly.  Even in the Outlook client the permissions look correct.  Any idea why the user is unable to create a subfolder?  The user can post a new item, but cannot create a folder.

I even made the user an owner, same issue.

Its not user specific, all users have this issue. And it is not folder specific as its affects all folders.  I have something wrong somewhere within my Public Folder database but no idea where to look.

  • My issue was a bunch of denied permissions on the schema object.  The article you pointed out put me in the right direction.   Gotta love it when you inherit an Exchange organzation.

    Thanks again.
