  • Hi,

A user for Project Server is not the same as user for SharePoint.  Project Server users have to be added to the Users page  within Server Settings, within the Project Server application (default = http://servername/pwa).  You can add yourself in Farm admin group and can try if admin is not available to add you on project server.

  • Hi Bill,

Are you the administrator of SharePoint or Project server?

If are SharePoint, as Prakash mentioned, you need to add yourself to Administrators Group.

If are Project server, please try to synchronize AD group with your Project Server.

    1. Go to Server, Open Project Web Access > Server Settings > Click on Active Directory Resource Pool Synchronization.

    2. Specify the master group specified for project server users > Synchronize the users with Project Server.

    3. Later on add them into appropriate group (Administrators, project managers and team members) within project server (Server settings --> Manage Groups).

    It's for PS2007 but it's true for PS2010 too.
