Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 Some Keys NOT Working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000

OS: Windows 8.1 and X (Mac)

    IOGEER KVM Switch

My keyboard stopped typing numbers after 7 on the top, numbers after 3 on the number pad and all characters to the right of  including the letter P.

This setup has worked for me just fine for about six months.

Here are the steps I've taken:

    1.  Replaced batteries on the keyboard and mouse

    2.  Unplugged and plugged in the USB Receiver for the mouse/keyboard (it is plugged into the front USB 2.0 port)

    3.  Unplugged and plugged in the KVM Switch

    Any suggestions here?

Also, I see keyboard and mouse ports can I use them for other devices?

  • Hi sd1233,

To troubleshoot whether it is a hardware issue, please plug in on another machine to have a test.

If the issue persists on other machines, I am afraid the keyboard hardware may have been corrupted.

If it works on other machines, we could try to download the following software for this device and try different USB ports.
