IE broken on Win 7 and Win 8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • IE broken...presents the following message every time its launched

    "Internet Explorer has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available "

Installed Windows 8 (upgraded from Win 7) thinking that would bring with it a fresh unbroken version of IE.  Wrong!  The IE with Win 8 gives the same message when launched.  Where can I find documentation that will walk me through installing a healthy version of IE on Win 8?

  • Have you try resetting IE by opening IE next go to internet option>advanced tab, under reset internet explorer setting, hit on the reset tab. If it doesn't help, try repairing windows

  •  Hi

It is well known issue with IE. Here are some tips to fix this issue

1:Start>inetcpl.cpl>you will see IE property Dialog box look for Adavance> Reset

2:In windows 7 you have built in repair tool you run that as well. If you are not able to find it you can download it from

internet. If still the issue persist then you have to option either repair window or you can use other browser.
