When I go into the options within Lync and try to connect the camera on my Surface Pro it says "Can't connect to Webcam. Close any conversations or programs which are using the webcam and try again". I can't figure out what could be blocking
the camera from connecting. I've confirmed it works fine in the Windows 8 camera app but even after multiple reboots I can't get Lync to work with either the front or back camera.
I have not tried with Lync 2013. When I asked my company's IT department they said they're still setting up the servers for 2013 so only 2010 is available at this time.
