PowerShell logon script for Windows 7 PCs on 2003 domain RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a 2003 domain.  I have a Windows 7 PC that is a member of the domain and has RSAT installed.  I have created and tested a PowerShell script that I would like to use as a logon script.  On the Windows 7 PC, I have entered the PowerShell script using the Group Policy Management Editor under "User Configuration\Windows Settings\Scripts\Logon" under the "PowerShell Scripts" tab.  This policy is linked to a test OU, and I have another Windows 7 machine that is in this OU.  I have also set the security level on the test machine for PowerShell to allow all PowerShell scripts to run.   When I login on the test Windows 7 machine, the PowerShell script does not execute.  Is there something more that I need to configure for the script to run?

  • Hi Fooser,

If you logon the test Windows 7 machine and run the command "rsop.msc", does the result show the GPO has been applied?
