    can we install MIM 2016 on Windows server 2016 ? when i started to install i faced issues that sharepoint foundation 2013 not installing on windows server 2016

  • SharePoint Foundation 2013 SP1 is not supported on Windows 2016.  If you follow this link, it states Windows 2016 is not supported: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt493254(v=office.16).aspx

    You will need to upgrade to SharePoint 2016, if you wish to continue using Windows Server 2016.

    Install the SharePoint Foundation 2013 with SP1

  • Hi,

    That correct, it's not supported. Many users are still using SP2013 Foundation though to avoid license costs for SharePoint.

    We have SP2013 SP1 Foundation running on Windows Server 2016, for MIM2016.
